St. Peregrine Statue 6.25"
St. Peregrine, the patron saint of those afflicted with cancer and other severe illnesses, was born in 1265 in Italy. Despite a tumultuous life, he eventually joined the Servite Order after his conversion. After being diagnosed with cancer in his leg, he turned to prayer and experienced a miraculous healing. Canonized in 1726, his feast day falls on May 4. Many people turn to St. Peregrine for his intercession in times of sickness.
